We engaged Amuri Builders for our new build in Hanmer in 2018. Right from the start, Dan and his team went out of their way to make the process easy for us. We weren’t able to be on site very often but we felt confident that the project was in good hands. There were a number of challenges with the build and we were always grateful for the extensive building knowledge and their ability to problem solve any situation.

We now have a beautiful home which has been impeccably built. Since completion, we have also appreciated the continued check-ins to make sure everything is working as it should. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Amuri builders.

We engaged Amuri Building Specialists as main contractor for the complete renovation and restoration of a large historic homestead. Dan McGuire and his team were excellent to deal with throughout. The work was complex and difficult – taking over a year – as it married modern engineering with the listed historic fabric of the homestead.

However for Dan nothing was too much trouble, and his calm and confident manner took a huge amount of pressure off us. That combined with his incredibly high quality workmanship and eye for detail mean we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Amuri Builders built our holiday home in Hanmer Springs starting in the winter of 2022 and completing it in early 2023. It was a very difficult time with material shortages and a cold snowy winter. Throughout the build the communication was excellent and their ability to keep things moving was first rate.
The result they achieved was stunning with a mixture of plywood, iron and cedar being used which was over seen by the Wilkie Bruce Architects from Christchurch.

Dan, his team and especially his foreman Ollie made this project a pleasure to be involved with. Any on going requirements or advise have that we have asked for have been swiftly dealt with.
