Kitchen/Dining/Lounge renovation
This renovation transformed a dated kitchen, dining and lounge area into a modern spacious open plan area. Steel beams were installed following the removal of walls, with bulkheads now the only indication of the previous layout. The finishing touch of a modern kitchen completes the transformation.
St Helens Homestead
The renovation of this Historic homestead was a work of passion and commitment from all involved. Trengrove Architects along with Structural Engineers, Powell Fenwick carried out the design work with the need to bring this glamorous homestead into the 21st century and meet new earthquake standards. Many tonnes of steel framework had to be installed throughout the building, with the majority concealed in the roof and floor spaces. Numerous alterations to the existing layout allowed the addition of a media room, library, children’s play room and an upstairs bedroom with a feature 100 year old claw foot bath. The end result is a centrally heated modern family home that has a wonderful history and will be around for future generations to add to the memories.
